Week 11
Wow we have finally arrived to our final week! It has gone very quickly! I must say we have learnt some wonderful skills over the term.
Please check out your child's blog in the tab above. Putting posts onto the blog involves quite a lot of new skills that the children have learnt, like ensuring the posts have titles, adding images, embedding work from google drive. Congratulations to all of the children for getting your posts onto you blog.
This Sunday a few children from our class will be making their First Holy Communion and Confirmation at mass. May God bless you on this special day when receiving these Sacraments: Sarah, Sara, Zoie.
Bishop Steve will be visiting this Friday to see our wonderful children and what they have been learning.
Holiday reading logs will be going out this week. Please encourage your child to read and add to their log. We had one person last term who didn't get theirs in on time. Hopefully next term it will be 100% returned.
I wish you all a lovely holiday! May God bless you over this time.

Week 9
Tena Koutou ki te whanau! I hope you all had a great week with Mrs Whibley. She really enjoyed being in our class and teaching you all!! The time in Wellington gave me a chance to think about my teaching around Religious Education and how to improve on this. It was also a great chance to get to know representatives of other schools and what they are doing in their schools.
Matariki starts this Thursday. Matariki is the cluster of stars that is also known as Pleides and it comes around late May, early June. For Maori it symbolises the start of a new year. Some of our learning over the next week will focus around Matariki!
The Whanau Group would like to extend an invitation to all staff and their families to a pot luck dinner on Thursday the 25th of June at 5.30pm. The dinner is to celebrate the cultural diversity we have in our school. EVERY FAMILY IS INVITED.
Come along for some fun conversation and get to know our community. Last year was great fun.
Here's what's on this week:
Wednesday: Singing Practice. Library.
Thursday: Matariki Starts.
3.45pm Filipino parents’ mtg in Staffroom. AGENDA. National Stds Feedback and General Business.
Friday: Golden Time. Assembly. Home Readers bring in your books!
